Questions people frequently ask

Does this work with Claude Desktop, Claude Code, and Codex?

Yes. Cirra AI exposes a standard Model Context Protocol server, so it works with any MCP-compatible client — including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and VS Code. Configure it once and use it across all of them.

Is it secure? Can it break my production org?

Cirra AI authenticates through Salesforce OAuth as a specific user. It can only do what that user is allowed to do in the Salesforce UI. In addition you can set guardrails to limit access to certain types of (meta)data for specific orgs. And you can connect a sandbox or scratch org to build and test, then deploy to production. You stay in control at every step.

How is this different from Salesforce's own hosted MCP servers?

Salesforce's hosted MCP servers can read metadata like objects and flows, but they do not allow metadata modification; you need a developer environment and the separate DX MCP Server for that. And each org (including sandboxes) requires a separate connection.

Cirra AI supports all admin operations across sandboxes, scratch orgs, and production orgs with a single connection. We also provide additional data access guardrails on top of OAuth, and a dashboard to track usage. Finally, admins can audit and manage connections by team members.

What's a credit, and how many will I need?

A credit is consumed each time Cirra AI performs an action in your org via an MCP tool call — creating a field, updating a permission set, running a query. Tasks that only access data use 1 credit, write operations cost 3 credits. You can track usage in the dashboard anytime.

Can I connect a sandbox org?

Yes, you can connect any number and type of org — production, sandbox, and scratch orgs. We recommend making metadata changes in a sandbox or scratch org, then deploying to production using your standard process.

Can I roll Cirra AI out to my team?

Yes, on our team plan you can invite any number of users to share a pool of credits. As an admin, you can control which orgs team members can connect to, and set guardrails on the type of (meta)data they can read or update. As well as audit usage through our dashboards.

Can I integrate with Jira?

Yes, Jira (Atlassian) and many other vendors provide free MCP servers which integrate with your AI client to provide a seamless process.
